Development of the Westbrooke area began in 1970 but was not complete until 2009—so the homes reflect a variety of styles covering several decades. The local Walmart is across the road from the subdivision; so for those of you who are frequent shoppers there, this is the neighborhood for you.
The geography of the neighborhood is largely level with stately, mature trees throughout. In some parts of the area, small forested ravines create a natural privacy barrier between the rear yards of homes on parallel streets. One edge of the subdivision abuts MCAS Cherry Point at the location of Staff NCO housing. Westbrooke is a popular and established neighborhood of moderately priced homes.
