Rock Creek is a beautiful community with an 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse with a snack bar, and a swimming pool for residents and their guests. There are also common areas and playgrounds. There are two entrances to this community.  One entrance takes you into the newer section of the community, where the homes have more vinyl siding with brick and stone veneer accent walls. These yards do not have big trees on them. Most of the streets line the golf course giving residents a good view of the course. All of the mailboxes in this section match. Cul-de-Sacs are prevalent and help to give it the small community feels. Towards the middle of the community, you come to a more established area. These home lots have more mature oak and pine trees on them and on the roadside. These homes have more wood and brick exteriors with less vinyl siding. The styles of these homes are bungalow to custom craftsman and are approximately 1750-3500 heated square feet in size, with 3+ bedrooms, 2+ bathrooms, and 2 car garages. They have many extras built into them making them very comfortable and appealing. As you go into the community you will find two ponds with fountains. The water for this community is through the City of Jacksonville and the Sewer is with Rock Creek Environmental and electricity is with Jones-Onslow EMC. The schools for this area are Stateside Elementary, Trexler Middle, and Richlands High School. This community is only about 15 minutes to Camp Lejeune, 20 minutes to New River Marine Corps Air Station, 20 minutes to the airport, and 30 minutes to local wineries. In a few minute's drive, you can get all amenities needed, including, groceries, gas, churches, banks, shopping, doctors, or anything else you might need. The hospital is about a 20-minute drive.  If you want to spend some time at the beach you can be in North Topsail Beach in about 40 minutes.

A new Handy Pantry gas station-restaurant has just opened at the entrance making it even more convenient to live in or near Rock Creek. Stateside Subdivision and Stateside School is across the street from the entrance too
