Maysville is located in Jones County and is about 15 miles NE of Jacksonville, NC, and about 21 miles south of New Bern. It is part of the New Bern Micropolitan Statistical Area. Maysville has a mayor and five commissioners and a town manager. There are two elementary schools located here and high school students go to Trenton, which is about 16 miles from Jacksonville. Utilities for Maysville are through the Town of Maysville. There are shopping areas and restaurants in Maysville and places to get any amenities you need for every day living. There are also all kinds of shopping and restaurants as well as a mall, Walmart, Lowes, Target, medical, and a hospital in New Bern. From Maysville to Emerald Isle are only about 35 miles where you can enjoy the beach, sunbathing, boating, fishing, water sports, a pier, walking, biking, shopping and dining, and everything else that goes with the beach.
