Hubert is a small community between Swansboro and Jacksonville and is known for its friendliness and delicious food. It is home to many marine families with its close proximity to Jacksonville and Camp Lejuene Marine Corps Military Base. Hubert is an unincorporated community in the eastern portions of Onslow County and is part of the Jacksonville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Hubert offers a quiet, outdoorsy life, delicious seafood, and a wonderful community of people. There is a very nice park in this area, Hubert By-Pass Park and there is also Bear Inlet, taking you straight into the Atlantic Ocean. There are many new homes in this community and many waterfront homes and lots here. The schools for this area are located in Swansboro, which is only 8 miles away. Swansboro will have all the amenities you need including shopping, dining, medical, churches, or anything else needed for everyday living. Jacksonville is only 12 miles away and you will be able to find anything you need here as well plus there is a hospital here. It is only 28 miles to Atlantic Beach from this area. Atlantic Beach offers great boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and many other water sports as well as wonderful places to walk or bike or you can enjoy the Aquarium, Fort Macon, or wonderful restaurants. Or you can go to the other end of the island to Emerald Isle Beach in 20 miles and enjoy everything pertaining to a beach as well.
