This community has some wonderful amenities but the real attraction is the Taberna Country Club golf course design by Senior Nicklaus Designer Jim Lipe. This 18 hole championship layout will challenge and invite golfers of all skill and ability levels. This course has tree-lined fairways with sparkling lakes and white sand bunkers. This 6917-yard course is nestled among rolling hills with breathtaking views and manicured greens. The clubhouse is very nice and does have a dress code for the dining room. The country club also has tennis courts and a pool. The pool season starts on Memorial Day weekend and ends on Labor Day weekend. There is a poolside snack bar available. The Club hosts a 4th of July party and a Labor Day party for the members with complimentary food and entertainment. The homes in Taberna are mostly brick with some having siding. They are 2000-4000 square feet in size and have 3+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms and most have garages. The yards are beautifully landscaped. The schools for the area are Creekside Elementary, Grover C Fields Middle, and New Bern High School (confirm before purchase). The utilities are community sewer and publicly owned utilities. There are all sorts of amenities close by in New Bern, including groceries, gas, banks, churches, shopping, restaurants, Lowes, Walmart, Target, a mall, doctors' offices, and a hospital.  If you want a day at the beach you can be on the Crystal Coast in a short 45-minute drive.
