There is also a picnic shelter near the entrance of the park that can be used for small parties and gatherings and there are numerous picnic tables and benches along the trails. For amenities, all you have to do is go into New Bern where you will find everything you need including, Walmart, Lowes, Target, Harris Teeter and other grocery stores, many gas stations, churches, banks, drug stores, doctors, and the hospital.
