Canon’s Edge is a neighborhood located outside of Jacksonville, yet close to all the amenities needed for daily life. It feels more like you are living in the country than so close to the city.  There are many activities close by this area including a disc golf course, a covered picnic area, soccer fields, exercise trails, and a playground for little folks. There is also fishing close by. The homes in this neighborhood are between 1500 and 2500 heated square feet and are one or two-story. Some of the other things that make this neighborhood so desirable are no city taxes and all the wonderful features in the homes. These homes are 3 to 4 bedrooms with 2 or more bathrooms and 2 car garages. Most of the homes here also have fenced-in backyards adding to their privacy. The lots are big, running approximately .34 acre to over an acre. The schools for this area are Richlands Elementary, Trexler Middle, and Richlands High School. This area is also close to the beaches. In an hour's drive, you can get to Topsail Beach or to Emerald Isle or to the small, quaint little waterfront town of Swansboro, where you can shop in the fun shops there or dine right on the water. Richlands is only about a 5-minute drive and Jacksonville is a 20-minute drive. Jacksonville will have all the shopping areas, dining, hotels, gas stations, restaurants, doctors and hospitals, and any other amenity you might need. Richlands will have all of this also, just not as many places, but does not have a hospital. The utilities for this neighborhood are Northwest Onslow Water Associates and Duke Energy.
