Aragona Village is located off Piney Green Road in the county, so there are no city taxes. It is also down the road a short distance from Highland Forest. This neighborhood offers homes that are between about 1000 square feet to 2750 square feet in size. The architectural styles in Aragona Village include American Craftsman and Cottage. These homes are convenient to the Piney Green shopping areas of Western Blvd. and to many of the Jacksonville restaurants. The area is also close to area attractions including the White Oak River, Camp Lejeune, or the Crystal Coast Beaches. The schools for this area are Morton Elementary School, Hunters Creek Elementary School, and White Oak High School. The entrance area of this neighborhood has a largely divided median with beautiful landscaping. There is a pretty winding road with wooded areas as you go into the neighborhood, and then the neighborhood divides into three sections. The first area you come to is considered to be the older, Victorian-style homes. These homes are one and two-story with Victorian-style features, such as lamp posts and wooden exteriors, and they are built closer to each other. The next section is more of the traditional style homes in one and two-story. The lots in this section have many big trees on them and most of these homes have vinyl siding on them. Some of the homes do have side garages and privacy fences. After these two sections, you finally come to the last section, which is identified with its own stone sign. The homes in this section are mostly traditional, with vinyl siding and some stone or brick veneer accents on them. These are also the newest homes in the neighborhood, with some of them being waterfront. The utilities for this neighborhood are municipal water and sewer. The fire department is approximately 6 miles and the Onslow Memorial Hospital is about 4 miles from this location.
